Join us at The Collective for an intimate installment of the Heart & Soul! Concert Series featuring the Grammy-nominated artistry of Ro James and the harmonic excellence of R&B trio Sentury. This showcase brings together the best of contemporary soul and smooth vocal precision for a premier Friday night in Houston.


The Performers

  • Ro James: Known for his smooth, soulful delivery and chart-topping hits like "Permission," Ro James has established himself as a leading voice in modern R&B. His unique blend of gritty soul and polished vocals creates a live experience that is both raw and refined.

HONORING THE TIMELESS SPIRIT & TRADITION OF THE WILD WEST


Dust off your boots and get ready for an unforgettable night as The Houston Sun presents the Rodeo Wild West Party live at The Collective. This high-energy event is a beautiful celebration of 100 years of African American heritage and the thrilling traditions of the Wild West.


The evening features a powerhouse live performance by Zydeco legend Step Rideau, who is sure to keep the dance floor moving with his signature accordion-driven grooves. Guests will enjoy a full experience that includes dinner, dancing, and an array of local vendors to explore.


More than just a party, this event is a fundraiser with a vital purpose. All proceeds go toward supporting the 11th Annual African American History Parade and Symposium, helping to honor and preserve the rich history of our community.

The Inaugural BIFA Film Festival and Awards Gala was an unforgettable 3-day celebration of Black and BIPOC talent in the film industry. Featuring 22 incredible independent films, star-studded panels, engaging workshops with industry professionals, and an exclusive awards show & gala to close out the festival, guests immersed themselves in the creativity and stories of some of today’s most talented filmmakers.
